This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. (Joshua 1:8 AMP)
I have spent hours meditating on the Scripture recently, because I am interested in making my way “prosperous”, I am interested in dealing “wisely”, and I am interested in having “good success”!
Even though there are many who attack those who find that the Bible is a Book of Success…it most certainly is! Consider these Scriptures:
Save now, we beseech You, O Lord; send now prosperity, O Lord, we beseech You, and give to us success! (Psalm 118:25 AMP)
When Saul saw how capable and successful David was, he stood in awe of him. (1 Samuel 18:15 AMP)
Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11 AMP)
and David was successful in all he did, because the Lord was with him. (1 Samuel 18:14 GNB)
I (Wisdom) have riches and honour to give, prosperity and success. (Proverbs 8:18 GNB)
I am the one who spoke and called him; I led him out and gave him success. (Isaiah 48:15 GNB)
Obey faithfully all the terms of this covenant, so that you will be successful in everything you do. (Deuteronomy 29:9 GNB)
Save us, Lord, save us! Give us success, O Lord! (Psalms 118:25 GNB)
There are many more, but let me stop with my personal favorite: “But the Lord was with Joseph, and he [though a slave] was a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.” (Genesis 39:2 AMP)
Joseph is a slave in a pagan land with a pagan boss…and God is able to bless him there and give him success and prosperity. What’s OUR problem?
Too many Christians are whining, and not enough are WORKING and SERVING with a great ATTITUDE.
